Thank you for tuning into our weekly programme "What’s happening," where we present the most appealing upcoming events in Slovenia. If you can’t find your phone to make new reminders, then grab a pencil and put these must-see events on your calendar.

Let’s start with music. Slovene Alpine music fans must look forward to Folk Music Hit Parade that will take place in the sports hall in Bled on the 15th November. You’ll enjoy this successfully organized traditional musical event that you’ll remember because of amusing people and delicious food.

Book 11th November for a visit to Maribor where you will attend St. Martin’s Day celebrations. Experience the occasion of the christening of the new wine, and take the roller coaster of tastes and tunes that local caterers and musicians have prepared for you. You’ll get a chance to see the Wine Queen, admire the folklorists and buy fresh produce and delicacies of farmers’ wives.

If you strive to have a unique styling than the Creative Fair is just the right place for you. It’ll take place in Ljubljana, at Trg republike 1, on 13th November, starting at 10 a.m. and finishing at 7 p.m. The visitors will have an opportunity to purchase leather and textile handmade clothes and accessories, natural cosmetics, and other crafts. In the afternoon, children and adults will be able to test their creativity at various workshops.

These are just some of the events happening this week. Next week the Slovenian Wine Festival will take place in Ljubljana on 20th and 21st November. It will bring together selected winegrowers and winemakers, and it will be enriched by educational lectures, tasting sessions, and workshops. We’ll say something more about this event on our next programme.
